Our restoration flat rate fee: $40.00 per hour.
All restoration services are based on a hourly charge times the length of restoration time needed to complete your photo(s). Depending on the degree of damage, a larger photo may need less repair than a smaller one.
Because the degree of damage or degradation varies from photo to photo, and often restoration is desired for more than one photo, plus requests are often made for a number of restoration options, we must examine your damaged photos and receive your specific instructions for repair or service types first before providing a firm service quote. We ask you confirm acceptance of our quote by email before we can proceed.
Our final product includes your restored photographs burned to a DVD archived to 3 file resolutions: High-resolution .TIFF file, medium-resolution .JPEG file, and a low-resolution JPEG file. Images are sharpened slightly and cropped as required.
We perform these restoration services depending on the level of reconstruction your photo(s) require:
(Each level requires a longer amount of restoration time equating to a higher service fee).
LIGHT restoration: Basic sharpening and brightening to enhance the clarity of an image; removal of dust, spots, and scratches; and repair to minor damage on edges and background areas of the image.
HEAVY restoration: General clean-up of an image; contrast enhancement and sharpening; removal of color casts; repair of scratches, cracks, and stains; and repair of minor damage to the image.
EXTREME restoration: Reconstructive work, repair of damage to central part of the image, repair of torn images.

COMPOSITE
Combine images from more than one source to create a single new image, such as changing the background of a photo or adding or removing a person or other elements to a photo.
COLORIZE
Convert an image to an antiqued sepiatone (rosy-brown) or other monochromatic coloration; adding spot color to the main focus of a photo; giving an old-fashioned hand-colored effect to a black & white picture; or enhancing natural colors on a faded picture.
COLLAGE
Group several images into a pleasing layout, usually following a common theme (family members, important stages in one person’s life, etc.). Pictures can be grouped as a collection of individual pictures or blended, overlapped, or silhouetted in an artistic composition.
PAINTING
Apply a painterly technique to a photograph, giving it the appearance of a painting, drawing, or linecut print.
